Pursuant to suspension of Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Finance was held on Friday, May 17, 2013, in the Betty King Committee Room at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 7:06 PM. The clerk called roll. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

 

The subcommittee report on HB 97 was laid out by Senator Hegar. Senator Hegar was recognized to explain the subcommittee report on HB 97.

 

The subcommittee report on HB 315 was laid out by Senator Estes. Senator Estes was recognized to explain the subcommittee report on HB 315.

 

The subcommittee report on HB 585 was laid out by Senator Eltife. Senator Eltife was recognized to explain the subcommittee report on HB 585.

 

Senator Eltife sent up a committee substitute; the chair recognized Senator Eltife to explain the difference between the committee substitute and the house bill as engrossed. Senator Williams moved adoption of the committee substitute; without objection, it was so ordered.
