Pursuant to a notice posted on October 20, 2014, the House Committee on Transportation Funding, Expenditures & Finance, Select met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Pickett, at 10:12 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Pickett; Larson; Martinez, "Mando"; McClendon; Simmons; and Workman.

 

A quorum was present.

 

 

The chair recognized Representative Israel.

 

The chair invited discussion on recommendations the committee might make to the 84^th Legislature to direct or redirect funds to the Texas Department of Transportation, support transparency of funding streams to and from transportation-related accounts, and evaluate the governing structure of statutorily created transportation entities in the state. 

 

The chair recognized Representative Muñoz, Jr. as present.

 

The committee heard from resources with the Legislative Budget Board and Comptroller of Public Accounts.

 

At 12:24 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
