Pursuant to a notice posted on May 9, 2013, and a suspension of the 5-day posting rule on May 13, 2013, the House Committee on Transportation met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Phillips, at 9:00 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Phillips; Martinez, "Mando"; Burkett; Fletcher; Guerra; Harper-Brown; and Pickett.

 

A quorum was present.

 

 

SB 1605

 

The chair laid out SB 1605.

 

Representative Pickett offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The chair recognized Representative Pickett to explain the substitute.

 

The chair recognized Representative Raymond to explain SB 1605.

The chair recognized Representative Raymond to close on SB 1605.

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Pickett moved that SB 1605, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

The chair laid out SB 1350, the companion to HB 2875.

 

Representative Harper-Brown moved that SB 1350, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Phillips; Martinez, "Mando"; Burkett; Fletcher; Guerra; Harper-Brown; Pickett; Riddle (8).

 

Nays:                           None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

The chair laid out SB 1914.
