Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 6, 2013, and permission granted on May 6, 2013, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Transportation met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Phillips, at 3:30 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Phillips; Martinez, "Mando"; Burkett; Davis, Yvonne; Harper-Brown; Lavender; and Pickett.

 

A quorum was present.

 


 

SB 1411

 

The chair laid out SB 1411, the companion to HB 2330.

 

Representative Harper-Brown moved that SB 1411, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Phillips; Martinez, "Mando"; Burkett; Davis, Yvonne; Harper-Brown; Lavender; Pickett (7).

 

Nays:                           None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

The Chair moved to reconsider the vote by which the measure was reported from committee.  The motion to reconsider prevailed without objection.

Representative Harper-Brown moved that SB 1411, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

The chair laid out SB 1225, the companion to HB 2635.
