Pursuant to a notice posted on May 8, 2013, and a suspension of the 5-day posting rule on May 13, 2013, the House Committee on State Affairs met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Cook, at 5:40 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Cook; Giddings; Craddick; Frullo; Geren; Hilderbran; and Huberty.

The chair laid out SB 121 as pending business.

 

Representative Giddings moved that SB 121, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
