Pursuant to a notice posted on October 8, 2014, the House Committee on Land & Resource Management met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Deshotel, at 10:30 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Deshotel; Frank; Goldman; Paddie; and Simpson.

 

A quorum was present.

 


 

The Chair began taking testimony on Land and Resource Management’s interim charge relating to examine population growth in Texas cities and the impact the growth has had on housing, available land resources, city centers, businesses, and the state's economy. Evaluate Texas' preparedness to respond to future growth and ensure economic stability.

At 12:39 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
