Pursuant to a notice posted on April 14, 2014, the House Committee on Judiciary & Civil Jurisprudence met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Lewis, at 10:04 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Lewis; Farrar; Farney; Hunter; Raymond; and Thompson, Senfronia.

 

A quorum was present.

Interim Charge number 5: Examine the public policy implications of litigation related to environmental contamination brought by local governments, in particular whether such litigation supports effective remediation.
