Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 17, 2013, the House Committee on Judiciary & Civil Jurisprudence met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the acting chair, Representative Jessica Farrar, at 12:16 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Farrar; Farney; Gooden; Hunter; and King, Ken.

 

A quorum was present.

 


 

SB 338

 

The chair laid out SB 338.

Representative Farney moved that SB 338, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

The chair laid out SB 555 as pending business.

 

Representative King, Ken moved that SB 555, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Representative Hunter offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Gooden moved that SB 774, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
