Pursuant to a notice posted on June 17, 2013, the House Committee on Redistricting, Select met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Darby, at 9:08 a.m.
The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Darby; Davis, Yvonne; Clardy; Creighton; Deshotel; Gonzales, Larry; Huberty; Hunter; Keffer; Morrison; Orr; Pickett; Price; Thompson, Senfronia; and Villalba.
A quorum was present.

SB 3
The chair laid out SB 3.
Representative Thompson raised a point of order against consideration of SB 3 on the grounds it violated Rule 8, Section 20 of the House Rules as well as Article 3, Section 34 of the Constitution. (see attachment)
The Chair overruled the point of order.
The chair explained SB 3.
The chair moved that SB 3, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Darby; Clardy; Creighton; Gonzales, Larry; Huberty; Hunter; Keffer; Morrison; Orr; Price; Villalba (11).
Nays: Representatives Davis, Yvonne; Deshotel; Pickett; Raymond; Thompson, Senfronia (5).

Absent: Representatives Harper-Brown; Martinez Fischer; Oliveira (3).
