SB1218 by Campbell (Relating to the proof of an applicant's identity and age required for the issuance of a marriage license.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Family Code provisions specifying the sufficiency of certain forms of identification for the purpose of marriage license issuance. The change in law would apply only to an application for a marriage license submitted to a county clerk on or after the bill's effective date. The bill would take effect September 1, 2013.

The Office of Court Administration does not anticipate any significant fiscal impact to the court system resulting from the bill.


Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
