No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Insurance Code by changing the definition of a dependent related to eligibility for the state's Group Benefits Program, specifically for the coverage of a child that is mentally or physically incapacitated. The bill would take effect immediately upon receiving a two-thirds majority vote in each house. Otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2013.
