RULE FOR FLOOR
CONSIDERATION
C.S.H.B. 1025
Pursuant to House Rule 3, Section
4(2), and House Rule 6, Section 16(f), the House Committee on Calendars
proposes the following rule governing floor consideration of HB 1025:
Section 1. All original
amendments that will be offered during second reading consideration of the bill
must be filed with the chief clerk by 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 23rd.
Section 2. (a) During second and third reading consideration of the bill, any
amendment that adds or increases an item of appropriation in the bill is not in
order unless the amendment contains an equal or greater reduction in one or
more items of appropriation in the bill from the fund or funds against which
the appropriation is to be certified.
(b) The provisions of this section do not apply to an amendment that makes an
adjustment in an item of appropriations solely to correct a technical clerical
error.
