SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 773
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize the delegation from the Spring Volunteer Fire
  Department on the occasion of its April 29, 2013, visit to the
  State Capitol; and
 
         WHEREAS, The Spring Volunteer Fire Department received its
  charter in May of 1953; it has grown from its original seven
  members to include nearly 200 volunteer and professional
  members; and
 
         WHEREAS, These dedicated firefighters serve a community of
  nearly 120,000 residents with courage and commitment; over the
  course of 60 years, they have responded to numerous rescue and
  hazardous material calls and have battled thousands of fires as
  they worked to protect the lives and property of the people of
  Spring; and
 
         WHEREAS, The men and women of the Spring Volunteer Fire
  Department have served the citizens of Spring with skill and
  professionalism, and it is truly fitting that they be recognized
  for their exemplary dedication; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
  83rd Legislature, hereby commend the members of the Spring
  Volunteer Fire Department on their service and commitment and
  extend to the visiting delegation a warm welcome to the State
  Capitol; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  the department as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
