AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the reexamination of an applicant for a professional |
|
|
counselor license. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subsection (b), Section 503.307, Occupations |
|
|
Code, is amended to read as follows: |
|
|
(b) An applicant who has failed three [two] successive |
|
|
examinations may not reapply for another examination before: |
|
|
(1) the second anniversary of the date of the last |
|
|
examination taken by the applicant; or |
|
|
(2) the date the applicant has satisfactorily |
|
|
completed nine graduate semester hours in the applicant's weakest |
|
|
portion of the examination. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|
|
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|
|
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|
|
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|
|
Act takes effect September 1, 2013. |
