R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories |
|
of George Edwin Hamilton of Coldspring, who passed away on April 19, |
|
2013, at the age of 90; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born on February 24, 1923, in Haskell, George |
|
Hamilton was the son of George Newton and Minnie Bell Myers |
|
Hamilton; he shared a loving marriage with his wife, Wilmuth, and |
|
together the couple cherished their two sons, George and Ralph; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Hamilton devoted six decades of his life to |
|
Freemasonry, achieving the status of Master Mason as well as 32nd |
|
Degree Scottish Rite Mason; his contributions to his lodge earned |
|
him numerous honors and certificates, including the Golden Trowel |
|
Award and the 60-year pin; and |
|
WHEREAS, George Hamilton lived a caring and purposeful life, |
|
and he will forever be remembered with deep affection by all who |
|
held him close to their hearts; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of George Edwin |
|
Hamilton and extend sympathy to the members of his family: to his |
|
daughter-in-law, Deborah Hamilton; to his grandchildren, Christy |
|
Hamilton-Dobson and her husband, Tommy, Scott Allan Hamilton, |
|
George Edwin Hamilton III, and Kimberly Hamilton-Pfeiffer and her |
|
husband, Mack; to his great-grandchildren, Megan Renee and Ashley |
|
Christine Dobson, Zachary Allan, Ethan Shaun, Alyssa, Tristan, and |
|
George Hamilton, and Derek, Karl, and Van Pfeiffer; and to his other |
|
relatives and friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of George |
|
Edwin Hamilton. |
