R E S O L U T I O N
|

|
|
WHEREAS, The rank of Eagle Scout is an achievement shared by |
|
|
many of this nation's leaders, and the attainment of this |
|
|
significant honor by Zachary Godlewski of Houston also heralds a |
|
|
future bright with opportunity and promise; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This fine young Texan has mastered a number of |
|
|
important skills in his quest to become an Eagle Scout; he has |
|
|
earned merit badges requiring expertise in such diverse areas as |
|
|
first aid, personal fitness, and environmental science, and he has |
|
|
gained experience in leadership and teamwork while undertaking his |
|
|
Eagle Scout project; he organized his troop to complete much-needed |
|
|
renovations at the Manna Thrift Store and solicited donations of |
|
|
materials from a home improvement store; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Godlewski has further contributed to his |
|
|
community as a volunteer at the Star of Hope Mission and as a |
|
|
participant in Relay for Life, and he has worked as a day camp |
|
|
counselor for children ages 6-13 for the past four summers; |
|
|
moreover, this talented young man has been nationally recognized |
|
|
for his skateboarding skills, which he has honed since childhood; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In fulfilling the rigorous requirements for |
|
|
attaining the Eagle Scout insignia, Zachary Godlewski has |
|
|
demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the organization and its |
|
|
ideals, and the knowledge and confidence he has acquired along the |
|
|
way will indeed serve him well in the years to come; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Eagle Scout Zachary Godlewski on |
|
|
achieving this prestigious rank and extend to him sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Godlewski as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
