R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Kay Hickey has been named the 2013 Citizen of the |
|
|
Year by the Muenster Jaycees; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Actively involved in her community, Ms. Hickey has |
|
|
earned the respect and admiration of her fellow residents for her |
|
|
contributions to the Muenster Historical Commission and for her |
|
|
work as a volunteer and a member of the board of the Muenster Public |
|
|
Library; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This esteemed woman has also served as president and |
|
|
secretary of Keep Muenster Beautiful, and she was instrumental in |
|
|
its receipt of the Governor's Community Achievement Award; in |
|
|
addition, her notable recycling efforts have helped fund school |
|
|
supplies for local students; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The strength of our communities depends on the |
|
|
initiative and commitment of individuals such as Kay Hickey, whose |
|
|
outstanding civic engagement has helped to make Muenster an even |
|
|
better place in which to live, work, and raise a family; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Kay Hickey on her selection as the |
|
|
2013 Muenster Jaycees Citizen of the Year and extend to her sincere |
|
|
best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Hickey as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
