AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the election and authority of the board of directors of |
|
|
the McCulloch County Hospital District. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 1059.052, Special District Local Laws |
|
|
Code, is amended to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 1059.052. NOTICE OF ELECTION. Notice [Not earlier
|
|
|
than 30 days or later than 10 days before the date] of an election of |
|
|
directors[, notice of the election] shall be published in |
|
|
accordance with Section 4.003, Election Code, [one time] in a |
|
|
newspaper with general circulation in the district. |
|
|
SECTION 2. Section 1059.107, Special District Local Laws |
|
|
Code, is amended by adding Subsection (f) to read as follows: |
|
|
(f) The board by resolution may order the lease of a |
|
|
hospital or other facility owned by the district to any person. The |
|
|
resolution must include a finding by the board that the lease of the |
|
|
hospital or facility is in the best interest of the residents of the |
|
|
district. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|
|
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|
|
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|
|
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|
|
Act takes effect September 1, 2013. |
