SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 7
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Carmen Sotello Gonzalez
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the
  citizens of Fort Worth in mourning the loss of Carmen Sotello
  Gonzalez, who died July 13, 2013, at the age of 93; and
         WHEREAS, Carmen Gonzalez was married to Rafhael Lopez
  Gonzalez, and the couple was blessed with four children, four
  grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and two
  great-great-grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Gonzalez was one of the first Hispanic women
  to be named to an upper administration position at the A. Brandt
  Company factory in the 1940s; she went on to become an
  administrator at Ben Hogan/AMF, where she was respected for her
  work and made many close friends; and
         WHEREAS, She was a woman of deep compassion and was noted
  for her devotion to her family and her warm smile; she was an
  exemplary lady who was a source of strength and joy to others, and
  she will be greatly missed by all who were privileged to share in
  her life; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd
  Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby extend sincere
  condolences to the bereaved family of Carmen Sotello Gonzalez;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  those held dear by Carmen Gonzalez as an expression of deepest
  sympathy from the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns
  this day, it do so in memory of Carmen Gonzalez.
