SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 79
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes great |
|
|
pleasure in recognizing Bob Falkner, who is stepping down as |
|
|
chief of the Ozona Volunteer Fire Department after 22 years of |
|
|
exceptional leadership; and |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, Bob Falkner has handled his responsibilities at the |
|
|
Ozona Volunteer Fire Department with efficiency and dedication |
|
|
since 1971; before accepting the role of department chief, he moved |
|
|
through the ranks as department president, secretary, and assistant |
|
|
chief; and |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Falkner has distinguished himself as a |
|
|
capable and highly professional leader who has long held the |
|
|
respect and friendship of all those who have worked with him; his |
|
|
outstanding career as a firefighter has now spanned 52 years; and |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, A faithful public servant who is devoted to the Ozona |
|
|
community, he plans on continuing his service as a firefighter after |
|
|
stepping down as chief; his meritorious work has earned him the |
|
|
admiration and esteem of local residents who are grateful for his |
|
|
invaluable contributions to their community; now, therefore, be it |

|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd |
|
|
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commend Bob Falkner for his |
|
|
outstanding service to the Ozona Volunteer Fire Department and |
|
|
extend best wishes to him in the years ahead; and, be it further |
| |
|
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for him |
|
|
as an expression of gratitude and high regard from the Texas Senate. |
