SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 11
	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
	recognize Leon Valley's 19th Annual Star Spangled Independence
	Day Parade and Celebration, which took place July 4, 2013; and
	WHEREAS, This annual commemorative event gives the people
	of Leon Valley an opportunity to show their patriotism and pay
	tribute to the nation's commitment to democracy, liberty, and the
	pursuit of happiness; and
	WHEREAS, Since the adoption of the Declaration of
	Independence, Americans have set an example for the rest of the
	world by promoting and supporting the democratic way of life
	established by the country's founding fathers; and
	WHEREAS, This year's Leon Valley Independence Day
	Celebration featured food, games, music, and other entertainment
	following the parade; it is truly fitting that this annual event
	be recognized for the role it plays in bringing the people of the
	community together; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd
	Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate the people
	of Leon Valley on their patriotic spirit and commend them on
	hosting the 19th Annual Star Spangled Independence Day Parade and
	Celebration; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared in
	honor of this special event.
