R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, During the special sessions of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature, Philip Ricker has ably served his fellow Texans as an
  intern in the office of State Representative Marsha Farney; and
         WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Ricker has contributed
  to the workings of state government firsthand; in addition to
  learning more about the legislative process and the issues facing
  citizens of the Lone Star State, he has gained valuable work
  experience in the field of public service; and
         WHEREAS, Phil Ricker is a 2012 graduate of Ropes High School,
  where he was class president for three consecutive years as well as
  class historian of his senior class; Mr. Ricker was also a first
  team all-district defensive lineman on the football team; since
  graduating, he has continued his studies at South Plains College
  and Southwestern University; and
         WHEREAS, This noteworthy young Texan has performed his duties
  as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and he is indeed
  deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commend Philip Ricker for
  his service as a legislative intern in the office of State
  Representative Marsha Farney and extend to him sincere best wishes
  for continued success in all his future endeavors; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Ricker as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
