SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 122
	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
	join the American Jewish Committee in honoring Bob Borochoff for
	his leadership in the food and beverage industry and in the
	community; and
	WHEREAS, Bob Borochoff has owned nearly two dozen
	successful restaurants, special events companies, and catering
	ventures; he has been active in professional organizations and
	served on the board of the Texas Restaurant Association for 19
	years; he was also active on the national level and currently
	serves as Director Emeritus of the National Restaurant
	Association; and
	WHEREAS, He served as president of the Greater Houston
	Restaurant Association for two terms and as chairman of the
	association's Governmental Affairs Committee for 23 years; he
	was named "Restaurateur of the Year" by the association in 1987;
	and
	WHEREAS, Bob Borochoff has made his mark in the restaurant
	business by focusing on good management and business practices;
	he volunteers his time and talents with numerous civic and
	charitable organizations, and he has advocated passionately on
	behalf of programs for individuals with mental illnesses and
	disabilities and efforts to encourage immigration reform; now,
	therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, The Senate of the State of Texas,
	83rd Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Bob
	Borochoff on his many achievements and his service to the
	community and extend to him congratulations on being honored at
	the American Jewish Committee Houston Human Relations Award
	dinner; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
	him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
