R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Elisa and Raul E. Moreno of Lubbock celebrated their |
|
|
50th wedding anniversary on June 15, 2013, and they may indeed |
|
|
reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Raul Moreno and the former Elisa Acevedo exchanged |
|
|
the vows of matrimony in Earth, Texas, in 1963, and over the course |
|
|
of their marriage, they have found in each other a loving life |
|
|
partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Moreno count among their blessings a |
|
|
fine family that includes two children, Raul Moreno, Jr., and |
|
|
Yevette Brooks, as well as four grandchildren and three |
|
|
great-grandchildren, with whom they treasure sharing many special |
|
|
occasions; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For half a century, Elisa and Raul Moreno have |
|
|
brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it |
|
|
is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Elisa and Raul |
|
|
Moreno on their golden wedding anniversary and extend to them |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Moreno as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
