R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Jacob Arie is graduating as salutatorian of the |
|
senior class of Dr. John Horn High School in Mesquite in 2013; and |
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of salutatorian requires not only |
|
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |
|
highest academic standards; the student who garners this coveted |
|
distinction must demonstrate a thorough understanding of a wide |
|
range of subjects, from math and science to language arts and social |
|
studies, yet the rewards of the countless hours of study and |
|
preparation are myriad; and |
|
WHEREAS, The son of proud parents Melissa and Troy Willis and |
|
Larry Arie, Mr. Arie plans to continue his education at Texas |
|
Christian University, studying music education; he hopes also to |
|
travel across the country performing in a drum corps and to earn a |
|
graduate degree; and |
|
WHEREAS, Throughout his academic career, Jacob Arie has |
|
earned the respect and admiration of his teachers and classmates at |
|
Horn High School, and his exceptional scholastic ability, hard |
|
work, and commitment to excellence have opened the way to limitless |
|
opportunities for this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore, be |
|
it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Jacob Arie, |
|
salutatorian of the Horn High School Class of 2013, and extend to |
|
him sincere best wishes for continued success as he begins the next |
|
exciting chapter of his life; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Arie as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
