Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with HCR 63, a public hearing of the Joint Legislative Committee on Aging was held on Thursday, March 22, 2012, in the Betty King Committee Room at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 1:10 p.m. There being a quorum present at 1:18 p.m., the following business was transacted:

 

Senator Lucio moved adoption of the committee rules. There being no objection, it was so ordered.

 

Invited and public witnesses testifying are shown on the attached list.

 

The chair moved that public testimony be closed; without objection, it was so ordered.

 

There being no further business, at 4:30 p.m. Representative Naishtat moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair.  Without objection, it was so ordered.
