Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Natural Resources was held on Tuesday, November 1, 2011, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.012, at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 9:01 AM. The following business was transacted:

 

Chairman Fraser made opening comments on Interim Charge number one, relating to the ongoing drought conditions in the state.

 

At 9:15am the roll was called quorum was present.

 

The Chair opened invited testimony.  Resource witnesses testifying on Interim Charge number one are shown on the attached list.

 

Senator Hegar assumed the chair.

 

There being no further business, at 3:04 PM Senator Hegar moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
