Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Subcommittee on Public Education Funding was held on Wednesday, March 9, 2011, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.036, at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 9:13 AM. There being a quorum present at 9:21 AM, the

following business was transacted:

 

Senator Shapiro made opening remarks to the Committee.

 

Senator Shapiro called the following invited witnesses to provide testimony. See attached list.

 

At 9:52 AM Senator Shapiro moved that the committee stand recessed; without objection, it was so ordered.

 

At 9:55 AM Senator Shapiro reconvened the committee.

 

There being no further business, at 10:35 AM Senator Shapiro moved that the Committee stand

recessed until Monday, March 14, 2011. Without objection, it was so ordered.
