Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Subcommittee on Medicaid was held on Monday, February 28, 2011, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.036, at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 10:07 AM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

 

The chair called invited witnesses to testify on Medicaid (see attached witness list).

 

At 10:35 AM Senator Whitmire assumed the chair.

 

At 10:37 AM Senator Nelson resumed the chair.

 

 The chair called the Texas Health and Human Services Commission and the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services to provide invited testimony (see attached witness list).

 

At 11:02 AM Senator Whitmire assumed the chair.

 

At 11:05 AM Senator Nelson resumed the chair.

 

There being no further business, at 12:01 PM Senator Nelson moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
