Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Subcommittee on Medicaid was held on Wednesday, February 23, 2011, in the Senate Chamber.

The chair called the meeting to order at 9:01 AM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

The chair called the Texas Health and Human Services Commission to provide invited testimony (see attached witness list).

At 9:48 AM Senator Nelson moved that the Committee stand recessed until 2:00 PM. Without objection, it was so ordered.

At 3:32 PM Senator Nelson reconvened the meeting.

The chair called the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services to provide invited testimony (see attached witness list).

There being no further business, at 4:40 PM Senator Nelson moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
