Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Finance was held on Thursday, February 3, 2011, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.036, at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 9:03 AM.

 

The following business was transacted:

 

Senator Ogden laid out SB 1 as pending business.

 

Senator Hinojosa assumed the chair.

 

Public testimony was heard on SB 1 - Article II.  Witnesses testifying and registering are shown on the attached list.

The chair announced that public testimony on SB 1 - Article II will continue 30 minutes upon adjournment of the Senate on February 7, 2011. Without objection, it was so ordered.

 

Senator Ogden moved that SB 1 be left pending.  Without objection, it was so ordered.

 

There being no further business, at 2:34 PM Senator Ogden moved that the Committee stand recessed until 10:00 AM, February 7, 2011. Without objection, it was so ordered.
