Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 13, 2011, and permission being granted to meet on May 13, 2011, while the house was in session at 2:30p.m., at 3W.15, the House Committee on Urban Affairs met in a formal meeting to consider pending business and was called to order by the chair, Representative Dutton, at 2:34 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Dutton; Callegari; King, Phil; Mallory Caraway; Paxton; and Simpson.

The chair offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Paxton moved that SB 233, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
