CORRECTED MINUTES

 

 

On May 12, 2011, the House Committee on State Affairs authorized the correction of the  minutes for the meeting of the House Committee on State Affairs held on May 5, 2011. The following are the corrected minutes for that meeting:

 

Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 5, 2011, and permission granted on May 5, 2011, to meet while the house is in session, the House Committee on State Affairs met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Cook, at 11:19 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Cook; Craddick; Frullo; Gallego; Hilderbran; Huberty; Smithee; Solomons; and Turner.

 

A quorum was present.

 

SB 1504

 

The chair laid out SB 1504 as pending business.

 

Representative Craddick offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Craddick moved that SB 1504, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Cook; Craddick; Frullo; Hilderbran; Huberty; Smithee; Solomons (7).

 

Nays:                           Representatives Gallego; Turner (2).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

 

Absent:                        Representatives Menendez; Geren; Harless; Oliveira (4).

 

At 11:23 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
