Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 18, 2011 and with permission granted by the house on May 18, 2011 to meet while the house was in session, the House Committee on Homeland Security & Public Safety met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Miller, Sid, at 3:47 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Miller, Sid; Fletcher; Beck; Driver; and Pena.

 

A quorum was present.


 

SB 288

 

The chair laid out SB 288.

 

The chair explained the measure.

 

Representative Pena moved that SB 288, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Miller, Sid; Fletcher; Beck; Driver; Pena (5).

 

Nays:                           None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

Representative Fletcher offered a complete committee substitute.

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
