Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 11, 2011 and with permission granted on April 11, 2011 to meet while the house was in session, the House Committee on Homeland Security & Public Safety met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Miller, Sid, at 1:40 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Miller, Sid; Fletcher; Beck; Burnam; Driver; Flynn; and Mallory Caraway.

 

A quorum was present.


 

The chair directed that the March 29, 2011 and April 5, 2011 minutes for the House Committee on Homeland Security & Public Safety and the March 24, 2011 minutes for the Subcommittee on Law Enforcement Issues be corrected. The corrected minutes were authorized without objection.
