Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 9, 2011, the House Committee on Public Education met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Eissler, at 1:43 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Eissler; Hochberg; Allen; Aycock; Dutton; Huberty; Shelton; Smith, Todd; Strama; and Weber.

 

A quorum was present.

 

 

HB 3028

 

Representative Aycock moved to reconsider the vote by which the measure was reported from committee.  The motion to reconsider prevailed without objection.

 

Representative Strama moved that HB 3028, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Eissler; Allen; Dutton; Shelton; Smith, Todd; Strama; Weber (7).

 

Nays:                           Representatives Hochberg; Aycock; Huberty (3).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

 

Absent:                        Representative Guillen (1).

 

At 1:45 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
