Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 18, 2011, the House Committee on Pensions, Investments & Financial Services met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Truitt, at 12:01 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Truitt; Anchia; Creighton; Hernandez Luna; and Nash.

 

A quorum was present.


 

SB 1285

 

(Representative Orr now present.)

 

(Representative Veasey now present.)

 

The chair laid out SB 1285, the companion to HB 1434.

 

Representative Hernandez Luna moved that SB 1285, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Truitt; Anchia; Creighton; Hernandez Luna; Nash; Veasey (6).

 

Nays:                           Representative Orr (1).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

 

Absent:                        Representatives Anderson, Charles "Doc"; Legler (2).

 

 

SB 1286

 

The chair laid out SB 1286, the companion to HB 1677.

 

Representative Anchia offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Anchia moved that SB 1286, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Truitt; Anchia; Creighton; Hernandez Luna; Nash; Veasey (6).

 

Nays:                           Representative Orr (1).
