Pursuant to a notice posted on December 10, 2012, the House Committee on Manufacturing, Interim met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Murphy, at 1:03 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Murphy; Rodriguez, Eddie;  King, Tracy O.; Kuempel; Lavender; and Munoz, Jr..

 

Chairman Murphy called the meeting to order and welcomed those present and described the purpose of the meeting to discuss the Committee report and receive public testimony.

Chairman Murphy called the first witness to testify, Leslie Ward on behalf of AT&T. (Representative Frullo now present.) (Representative Alvarado now present.)

 

Chairman Murphy called the second witness to testify, Lauren Dreyer on behalf of SpaceX. (Representative Parker now present.)

 

Chairman Murphy called the third witness to testify, Gilberto Salinas on behalf of Brownsville Economic Development Council.

 

Chairman Murphy called the fourth witness to testify, Mike Garver on behalf of himself.

 

Chairman Murphy asked for any more public testimony of which there was none.

 

The Committee discussed the results of the interim report.

 

At 2:08 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
