Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 29, 2011 and permission granted on April 29, 2011 to meet while the house is in session, the House Committee on Energy Resources met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Keffer, at 2:35 p.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Keffer; Crownover; Carter; Davis, John; Lozano; Sheffield; and Strama.

A quorum was present.

HB 2435

Representative Crownover moved to reconsider the vote by which the measure was reported from committee. The motion to reconsider prevailed without objection.

Representative Sheffield offered a complete committee substitute.

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

Representative Davis, John moved that HB 2435, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Ayes: Representatives Keffer; Carter; Davis, John; Lozano; Sheffield (5).

Nays: Representatives Crownover; Strama (2).

Present, Not Voting: None (0).

Absent: Representatives Craddick; Howard, Charlie (2).

Representative Davis, John moved to reconsider the vote by which the measure was reported from committee. The motion to reconsider prevailed without objection.

Representative Lozano moved that HB 3254, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Ayes: Representatives Keffer; Crownover; Carter; Davis, John; Lozano; Sheffield; Strama (7).

Nays: None (0).

Present, Not Voting: None (0).

Absent: Representatives Craddick; Howard, Charlie (2).

At 2:43 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
