Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 28, 2011 and permission granted on April 28, 2011 to meet while the house is in session,  the House Committee on Energy Resources met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Keffer, at 3:38 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Keffer; Carter; Davis, John; Howard, Charlie; Lozano; Sheffield; and Strama.

 

A quorum was present.

 

The chair directed that the April 14, 2011 minutes for the House Committee on Energy Resources be corrected. The corrected minutes were authorized with objection.

 

SB 655

 

The chair laid out SB 655.

 

The chair offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Sheffield moved that SB 655, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Keffer; Carter; Davis, John; Howard, Charlie; Lozano; Sheffield; Strama (7).

 

Nays:                           None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

 

Absent:                        Representatives Crownover; Craddick (2).

 

At 3:46 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
