Pursuant to a notice posted on October 4, 2012, the House Committee on Elections met in a joint public hearing with the House Committee on Defense and Veterans’ Affairs and was called to order by the chair, Representative Taylor, Larry, at 10:11 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Taylor, Larry; Burkett; Farias; Isaac; and King, Phil.

 

A quorum was present.

 

 

 

 

INTERIM CHARGE NUMBER 1

 

The chair laid out Interim Charge Number 1 which states,” Monitor the implementation and impact of the MOVE Act on the state and on municipalities. Make legislative recommendations, as needed, to ensure a smooth implementation of the law.”

At 10:53 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
