Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 13, 2011, and permission given by the House on May 13, 2011 to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Economic & Small Business Development met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Davis, John, at 2:04 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Davis, John; Murphy; Reynolds; and Sheets.

 

A quorum was present.

(Representative Anderson, Rodney now present.)

 

SB 1534

 

The chair laid out SB 1534 as pending business.

 

Representative Murphy offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Sheets moved that SB 1534, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Davis, John; Anderson, Rodney; Murphy; Reynolds; Sheets (5).

 

Nays:                           None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

 

Absent:                        Representatives Vo; Miles (2).

 

At 2:05 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
