Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 6, 2011, the House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence met in a formal meeting while the house was in session and was called to order by the chair, Representative Gallego, at 5:30 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Gallego; Aliseda; Burkett; Carter; Christian; and Rodriguez, Eddie.

 

A quorum was present.


 

Representative  Rodriguez, Eddie moved that the March 22, 2011 minutes for the House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence be corrected. The corrected minutes were authorized without objection.

SB 887

 

The chair laid out SB 887.

 

Representative Aliseda moved that SB 887, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Gallego; Aliseda; Burkett; Carter; Christian; Rodriguez, Eddie; Zedler (7).

 

Nays:                           None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

 

Absent:                        Representatives Hartnett; Davis, Yvonne (2).

 

 

At 5:34 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
