Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 3, 2011, the House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence was granted permission to meet in a formal meeting while the house was in session and was called to order by the chair, Representative Gallego, at 9:02 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Gallego; Hartnett; Burkett; Carter; Davis, Yvonne; and Zedler.

 

A quorum was present.

The chair laid out SB 485.

 

Representative Burkett moved that SB 485, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

The chair directed that the April 7, 2011 minutes for the House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence be corrected. The corrected minutes were authorized without objection.
