Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor and permission to meet while the house is in session to consider pending items on May 11, 2011, the House Committee on County Affairs met on May 12, 2011 in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Coleman, at 10:08 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Coleman; Gonzales, Larry; Hamilton; Paxton; Smith, Wayne; and White.

The chair laid out committee substitute SB 917 as amended as pending business.

 

The chair offered an amendment to the committee substitute.
