Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 17, 2011, and having been granted permission to meet while the house is in session on May 17, 2011,  the House Committee on Calendars met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Hunter, at 2:39 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Hunter; Bonnen; Coleman; Cook; King, Tracy O.; Kolkhorst; Lucio III; Ritter; Rodriguez, Eddie; Truitt; and Zerwas.

 

A quorum was present.

Representative Hunter moved to place the following measures: 

 

on the General State Calendar for Friday, May 20, 2011:  SB 350, SB 341, SB 889, SB 181, SB 271, SB 267, SB 367, SB 680, SB 859, SB 1167.

 

The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Hunter; Bonnen; Coleman; Cook; King, Tracy O.; Kolkhorst; Lucio III; Ritter; Rodriguez, Eddie; Solomons; Truitt; Zerwas (12).

 

Nays:                           None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

 

Absent:                        Representatives Branch; Geren; Keffer (3).

 

Representative Hunter moved that the following measures not be placed on the calendar at this time:  SB 1009, SB 978, SB 1744, SB 327, SB 460, SB 498, SB 766, SB 1151, SB 1124, SB 1020.

 

The motion prevailed without objection.

 

At 2:44 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
