Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 16, 2011, and having been granted permission to meet while the house is in session on May 16, 2011, the House Committee on Calendars met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Hunter, at 1:50 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Hunter; Branch; Cook; Geren; Keffer; Kolkhorst; Lucio III; Ritter; Rodriguez, Eddie; Solomons; and Truitt.

 

A quorum was present.

 

The chair moved to reconsider the vote by which the calendar for Thursday, May 19, 2011 was adopted.  The motion to reconsider prevailed without objection.

Representative Hunter moved to place the following measures: 

 

on the Major State Calendar for Thursday, May 19, 2011:  SB 663, SB 660.

 

on the General State Calendar for Thursday, May 19, 2011:  SB 543, SB 710, SB 864, SB 1217, SB 1416, SB 761, SB 587.

 

The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Hunter; Branch; Coleman; Cook; Geren; Keffer; Kolkhorst; Lucio III; Ritter; Rodriguez, Eddie; Solomons; Truitt (12).

 

Nays:                           None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

 

Absent:                        Representatives Bonnen; King, Tracy O.; Zerwas (3).

 

At 1:52 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
