Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 2, 2011, and being granted permission to meet while the House was in session on May 2, 2011, the House Committee on Appropriations met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Pitts, at 6:22 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows:  Representatives Pitts; Turner, Aycock, Button, Chisum, Crownover, Eiland, Giddings, Gooden, Hochberg, Johnson, King, Susan, Margo, Martinez, "Mando", Miller, Doug, Morrison, Otto, Patrick, Diane, Riddle, Schwertner, Shelton, Torres, and Villarreal.

 

A quorum was present.

 

 


 

SB 1811

 

The chair laid out SB 1811.

 

The chair offered a complete committee substitute.

 

Representative Turner moved to adopt the committee substitute. The motion was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Otto moved that SB 1811, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Absent:                        Representatives Darby; Dukes; McClendon; Zerwas (4).

 

At 6:35 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned.
