SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 743
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to |
|
|
recognize the Ozark Trail Barbecue Cook-off as a Texas State |
|
|
Barbecue Championship competition; and |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Ozark Trail Barbecue Cook-off in Estelline is |
|
|
sanctioned by the International Barbeque Cookers Association; |
|
|
and |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, The barbecue first began in 2006, and 18 to 20 |
|
|
teams participated in the competition; and |
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, Texans are noted for their affinity for barbecue, |
|
|
and the Ozark Trail Barbecue Cook-off brings together families, |
|
|
friends, and neighbors to sample the wares of the best barbecue |
|
|
chefs in the Estelline area; now, therefore, be it |
| |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd |
|
|
Legislature, hereby declare the Ozark Trail Barbecue Cook-off a |
|
|
Texas State Barbecue Championship competition and extend best |
|
|
wishes to all associated with the event; and, be it further |
| |
|
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared in |
|
|
honor of the Ozark Trail Barbecue Cook-off. |
