SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 686
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Homer Leon O'Fallin, Jr.
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and
  commemorates the life of Homer Leon O'Fallin, Jr., who died
  November 22, 2010; and
         WHEREAS, Homer O'Fallin was born June 11, 1934, in Concord;
  he was an exemplary citizen who was admired in his community for
  his many achievements; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. O'Fallin served for more than 50 years with
  the Sheldon Community Fire Department, beginning when it was
  known as the Beaumont Road Volunteer Fire Department; he was
  president of its board from 1996 to 2009 and was a member of the
  Harris County Firefighters Association; and
         WHEREAS, He participated in Freemasonry for more than half
  a century and was a member of First Baptist Church of North
  Channel; and
         WHEREAS, A man of courage, strength, and compassion, he
  gave unselfishly to others, and his wisdom, warmth, and valued
  counsel will not be forgotten by those who knew him; and
         WHEREAS, He was a devoted husband, father, and
  grandfather, and he leaves behind memories that will be treasured
  forever by his family and many friends; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
  Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
  family of Homer Leon O'Fallin, Jr.: his wife, Mary Margarett
  Smart O'Fallin; his children, Homer L. O'Fallin III,
  LyMonyannette Schwartz and her husband, Robert, Karen Kay
  Elliott, Charity Noel Nicholas and her husband, Matthew, and
  Timothy Rhyan O'Fallin and his wife, Anna; his brother, Gene
  Gregory; and his nine grandchildren; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas Senate,
  and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in memory of
  Homer Leon O'Fallin, Jr.
